about me
Hi there! I'm Desiree.
I'm proud to say I was born and raised in Traverse City, Michigan while also spending the majority of my childhood summers in Northport, Michigan - a true Michigander. At a young age, I was always interested in fine arts like pottery, drawing and painting, as these are the art talents that run through my family. Begrudgingly, I admit that using Paint on our family computer at the age of 6 probably also contributed to where I'm at today. During high school, I was first introduced to visual art graphics, and knew from there I would be focusing on graphic design. I received my Associate of Applied Science with focus on Graphic Design and my Associate of Applied Science with focus on Creative Management in Art Direction. I have been designing since 2011!
Besides the art field, I love to enjoy what Northern Michigan has to offer, from outdoor activities like kayaking, paddle boarding, biking, hiking, camping, fishing, traveling and so much more! When I'm not around Northern Michigan, I'm probably on an out of state adventure, as I have visited all 50 states! I'm also a plant lover and have my own jungle of house plants. I strive to enjoy life by surrounding myself with things I love. If you're a TC local, you can most likely find me in a yoga class or maybe even teaching!
